OUR BACKGROUND
Community Vitality Solutions CBO (formerly known as Community ActionAid Education) is a registered refugee-led and Community-Based Organization (CBO) committed to empowering vulnerable and underserved communities through targeted health education, WASH, and wellness programs. Established in 2020 with a vision to foster sustainable development goals with a focus on SDG 3—Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4—Quality Education, SDG 5—Gender Equality, and SDG 6—Clean Water and Sanitation [SDG 3, 4, 5, and 6]. CVS works at the grassroots level within refugee and forcibly displaced communities to bridge gaps in health education awareness, provide essential first aid and medical training, promote hygiene and sanitation practices, and deliver comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health Education (SRHE) through workshops. We provide a higher level of care in the pursuit of health and happiness for all.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives for Community Vitality Solutions CBO are:
- To educate and empower health workers through medical and First Aid training, inspire positive health education among marginalized communities in Kakuma refugee camp.
- To equip, prepare and train health workers in the community with good and sustainable medical and First Aid education for better future changes in health outcomes.
- To create awareness in our community on the importance of maintaining good health, hygiene and sanitization for overall community well-being.
- Promoting adolescent and youth-friendly reproductive health through educating and empowering young refugee girls and youth on importance of self-awareness on reproductive health.
- To improve health status of individuals, families and refugee communities through quality health education, training and workshops.
