WHAT WE DO

We provide four main programs to improve the health and well-being of our community, particularly refugees. The programs include Health Education, Water, Hygiene & Sanitization, Mentorship on Health Related Issues, and Reproductive Health Awareness and Support. Each program focuses on educating, empowering, and equipping refugee youth and women with the necessary knowledge and skills to overcome challenges, improve their health status, and contribute to a better future for their community.

Medical and First Aid Health education

Our Medical and First Aid Health education training in Kakuma refugee camp equips the community with vital lifesaving skills, fostering resilience and empowering individuals to respond effectively to emergencies.

Reproductive health awareness and Support (RHAS)

Promoting adolescent and youth-friendly reproductive health through educating and empowering young refugee girls and Youth on importance of self-awareness on reproductive health.

Water, Hygiene & Sanitization (WHS)

The strategic goal aimed at promoting a clean safe environment for our community well-being. To execute this programme, Community ActionAid (CAE) aimed at working jointly with the Community structure including community leaders, health sectors, and partner with other Organization. This can be achieved through trainings, workshops and seminars on hygiene and sanitization activities/programs. Training Women, Youth, children, and youth on the importance of good hygiene and sanitization at individual level to reduce rampant spread of water and sanitization related diseases. This can contribute gradually to environmental protection, conservation and Community well-being.

Mentorship program on health related issues (MPH)

The aim is to empower and inspire refugee women, girls, children, and youth by providing them with relevant skills to overcome challenges and improve their standard of living. By avoiding harmful decisions, they can achieve better outcomes and break the cycle of poverty. Refugee girls, youth, and students/learners can remain committed to their academics and improve their performance, reducing the risk of school dropout and peer pressure influences. This will help to enhance better career development and provide them with a brighter future. By investing in the education and development of refugees, we can create a more prosperous and equitable society for all.
